I just checked the commission list and now 2 names on there are done, could you maybe update it please? lol I just don't want people to get confused with who you're doing next after all 4 on the list are done
Thank you very much. Just fixed the list, hopefully it's not as confusing any more.

It's time for bed again so I'm making another progress report. I'm currently working on YunSooJin's character Reyla Terest. This one's a biggy and is definitely going to take some time. At the moment the WIP does not look like much, but believe me, if I can't nail this stage then I know I'm not going to get a good end result. This is all about creating the overall mood of the painting. I think it's going well so far.

I'm visiting my Grandmother in hospital tomorrow so I won't be home until late at night. I'm also going to start Morag D commission tomorrow during the day as it is a pencil piece (yay for portable art ).

Goodnight - Good morning - Good day

@ Konig Des Todes Thanks

@Nemesis Xero Sure thing, it may be a long wait though.

Okay, it's time for another progress update. Still working on YunSooJin's character Reyla Terest and all is going well. Just detailing the background a bit before I move on to the main subject. I love painting clouds. They're so yummy!

Enjoy

Hello again.
Does anyone have the address of ArenaNet, I want to hurt the person who designed this armour.

It's all getting there though. Just one step at a time.

Doing all this game art makes me wish I was in the business. I can dream.

Not a lot actually. I've always been meaning to join but never get around to it. Why?

Because CA.org is awesome, and you will get a lot of benefits from it, both in CnC and in getting into the business if you so wish :P

Really nice job, I love the textures. I'm probably the last person you'd want giving comments on anatomy, but I think they legs can be a tinsy bit longer, as the upper body is pretty large. But whoever that is for probably is ecstatic right now .

Yes.

I did some measuring in paint with the leg lengths, and they look OK to me. It's been awhile since I've brushed up on general body proportions but from what I can recall the proportions she has seem realistic .

No Blue's right. You only measured the pic as if it was a paper doll, but you didn't take into account foreshortening. For one the bent thigh's length suggests that it's tilted towards the viewpoint but the straps are painted flat as if the thigh was exactly perpendicular. Make it one or the other; I suggest revising the straps to suggest the cross section just to prevent the pose from looking flat.

Ofc irl people can have those proportions but usually if you want to flatter a character you go for more ideal proportions haha.

Nice color sense though; I'm envious.

Yeah. I'm fine with the irl proportions though.

@ BlueXIV "Because CA.org is awesome, and you will get a lot of benefits from it, both in CnC and in getting into the business if you so wish :P" - I'll definitely have to check it out then.

@Espadon - I'm still working on that leg. It's not meant to look that much closer to the viewer and it's being a bugger. XD

I've never been one for fantasy proportions, I'd rather her look like a warrior than a super model trying to lift a huge-ass hammer.

Another report! Yes, what do we have here. Well, it's finally up to the point of no return. I'm going over every bit of the painting and I'm blending and smoothing and detailing and adding texture. This is the stage where the Alt button really gets abused (poor keyboard). Up until this point I always have my brush set to 100% Opacity, it's now at 45%. You can see a tiny bit of what I'm yapping about on the right foot.

Okay, I'm going to bed before my eyes pop out of my head.

Goodnight - Good morning - Good day

It's been a real treat being able to see the various steps you've been taking so far. I think I'm going to save all of them =)

@YunSooJin - At least you know I'm actually working.
Hopeful this is the last one before the finish.

@eeks - Thank you.

Last report for this piece (I hope). I'm working from the bottom of the figure to the top. It takes a while, but I think it's worth it.
